It is essential to have the gear and some idea…
Running doesn’t have to be expensive* there is a few basics you need. Like a decent pair of running shoes. I’d recommend ‘dri-fit’ material for tops, tights and shorts. That’s about it.
I’ve ran in a few pairs of shoes but currently I’m in the Brooks Ghost 10. This is a neutral shoe which I pair with my orthotics for support.
My favourite pair of running tights so far, other than my basic Nike Running tights (for flexibility, breathability, use ect) have to be my 2xu compression tights!
I use a Garmin Forerunner 735xt watch to track running and swimming. This is a tri-watch, I can’t wait to give it a proper go one day!
I love these Trekz as I can still hear my surroundings, specially when I’m on a trail route.
However, I’m happy to ditch them and run without.
My favourite yoga mat is a Sweaty Betty non slip mat I took a chance on buying. It could do with being a bit thicker but there’s no sliding – bonus!
*Running doesn’t have to be expensive however, you’ll find yourself buying extra gym kit, quirky running gear, things you don’t need but you do…
**I’m also not getting paid to promote these brands
